How do I know how many hours my home takes to clean?
As a general rule,
2 Bedroom Home = 2 hours
3 Bedroom Home = 3 hours
4 Bedroom Home = 4 hours
5 Bedroom Home = 5 hours

How long will the Cleaner be in my home?
Half the time you booked for. We will send 2 Cleaners to complete the clean in half the time.

Do I need to be home?
No. We can coordinate access to your property when we contact you to confirm your booking.

Cleaner on Time
Please allow a 30 minute window on either side of your booking time for the cleaner to arrive. Our priority is to arrive at the time booked, though sometime for unforeseen circumstances we can not predict, we can not always be exact. If you require an exact time, please let us know when booking.

Parking for the Cleaner
Our cleaners need to be able to park within 100 meters of your property. If there is no visitors parking for free parking within this distance, you will need to pay for paid parking.

Cleaning in high places
We can only clean places that are easily accessible. As safety is important to us, our Cleaners will not step onto furniture, ladders and stools to clean.

Old Stains
Old stains such as shower scale, heavy set surface mould, and water marks may take time to clean and may not be able to be removed in the first clean. They generally take 2 to 3 cleans to remove.

Moving furniture to clean
We can only move small pieces, light pieces of furniture to clean. Due to their weight and delicacy pot plants will be cleaned around and not moved when cleaning. Our cleaners will not be able to move big pieces of furniture.

Will you get rid of my mould?
Our cleaners will try their very best to remove surface mould during a Deep Clean though we do not promise mould removal as part of any of our cleans. That is because mould can become deeply ingrained in grout and seals. It's removal requires the insight of Mould Inspectors and Mould Specialist. As part of our cleaning practice we do not engage in harsh scrubbing practices as this may damage surfaces including water proofing and grout. Mould removal will need to be dealt with by Mould Removal Specialists.

A Toilet Brush
Due to sanitisation, and health and safety reasons we do not carry toilet brushes with us. We use your toilet brush to clean inside your toilet bowl. You must provide a toilet brush to clean inside the toilet bowl. This can be purchased for a few dollars at all major stores.

What if something is damaged during the clean?
If an accident has occurred, we will contact you immediately to organise a replacement and repair. We are covered by insurance, so if you find anything damaged that we haven't noticed, we ask that you contact us immediately so that we may organise for a replacement or repair. Please note that Domestic Help Sutherland Shire is under no obligation to address a concern/claim for damage that arises after 48 hours of delivery of the service.

What do I need to do to my home before a clean?
Remove clutter and items from areas which you would like cleaned. This is so that we can spend maximum time cleaning and disinfecting all surface areas.

Can I request the gender of my cleaner?
We are currently an all female crew. This may change in the future. We hire our professionals based on their skill, attitude, and dedication. We do not factor in the gender of the professional.

Will you clean outside? My front porch or back verandah?
No. We only clean inside the home.
